OUR MISSION

To create a community where young people can find belonging, explore faith, and are empowered to serve.

We currently focus on programming for high schoolers, young adults, and college students in the Iowa City area.

Neighbors is rooted in the teachings of Jesus, including influences across Christian denominations. We welcome and accept young people from all other faith traditions and backgrounds, including those who share no interest in faith.

For every young person to find belonging in an inclusive community that nurtures their relationships, faith, and empowerment.

We envision a community where we can learn alongside young people what it means to truly live out what Jesus in the Gospels describes as the most important thing, to, ““Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and 'Love your neighbor as yourself’”.
